A community-based participatory research project that aims at increasing Lawrence's capacity to plan, adopt and implement cancer control interventions. Building upon exisiting, long-term partnerships with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), the Harvard School of Public Health, and the NCI's Cancer Information Service, the group instituted the "PLANET MassCONECT to Promote Evidence Based Interventions". The study is intended to assess the community needs, and design and test a model of dissemination of cancer-control interventions for adoption by community groups, with an emphasis on those serving the underserved.
