To redeem or apply for a payment plan on any property that has been taken in tax title, arrangements and payments can be made in the Treasurer’s office. To take advantage of the city’s payment plan, 25% of the total amount owed in tax title must be paid up front as well as being current with the present fiscal years taxes. A monthly amount is then calculated not to exceed two years. If this monthly fee is not paid timely then the plan becomes null and void and the taxpayer would have to start the process from the beginning. As long as the payment plan is upheld no further action will be taken by the city to foreclose on the property.
