Apointments
There is one full time member openings. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 51, §15, The Board of Registrar consists of 4 members with the City Clerk charge ex-officio and 3 members, which serve for terms respectively of one, two and three years. At least two members shall represent the two leading political parties. The City Clerk need not be enrolled in any political party.
Responsibilities
Board of Registrar shall have the following responsibility:
- The Board of Registrars of Voters are responsible for maintaining the list of registered voters in the city and conducting elections. Administrative support is provided by the City Clerk who is also the chief election official in the city.

Qualifications
All members of boards, commissions, authorities, and committees of the city, whether appointed by the mayor or the city council, shall be residents of the city unless otherwise provided for in the General Laws or in the Municipal Code, with the exception that no more than three members of the airport commission may be nonresidents. The deadline for applications is until selected and filled. Please send your application to the Mayor's Office. Said appointment is subject to the appointment of the Mayor and the confirmation of the Lawrence City Council. The City of Lawrence is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
